    Some handy tips for dealing with a perfectionist staff member. If you can draw on people’s strengths and not throw them into areas too far out of their comfort zone you will reap the rewards -employee loyalty and a smoothly run operation.

    If you ignore people’s natural tendancies though, brace for stormy waters!

    Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying you can’t ask people to do things that are unnatural. Just be aware of when you are doing it. It’s ok to push a little to open people up to new challenges, but give them a bit of extra support and patience when you do, and don’t do it too often. Spread the love around. And make sure to give people things in their natural domain when you can as a reward for doing something out of their comfort zone.
